Daniel Veith is passionate about mountains and has made numerous trips, among others, to the Alps, the Rocky Mountains of Alaska and Canada and the Andes between Tierra del Fuego and the Altiplano of Peru, with ascents to 5,402 m above sea level (Cordillera Real, Bolivia, and Chimborazo, Ecuador, both in 2003). In 2016, Daniel Veith broke his own record in ultra-fast trekking ascents, when he climbed and descended the highest mountain in Portugal, the Pico Volcano in the Azores archipelago, in just 4 hours, with a difference of over 1200 meters (recommended 6-8 hours). Previously, in the year 2000, he had made a similar ascent of 1200 meters in height, to the King`s Throne in the Yukon Territory in Canada, in 5:30 hours.
